HypeX Digital Code of Ethics

This is the Code of Ethics of HypeX Digital (Pvt) Ltd, a digital marketing agency and web design company in Sri Lanka. We build infrastructure, run paid media, and engineer search visibility for businesses that expect results and accountability. This Code states the standard we hold ourselves to in every external engagement.

It is the outward counterpart to our Internal Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, which governs the conduct of our staff and contractors. Together the two define how HypeX operates, inside and out. Clients, partners, and industry peers are entitled to hold us to every commitment below.

1. Integrity

We act with integrity in every client relationship, partnership, and contractor arrangement. We do what we say. We disclose what affects the client. We do not let convenience override honesty.

2. Honest Representation and Records

We keep our marketing materials, client communications, reports, and performance metrics accurate and complete. We report real numbers, including the ones that disappoint. We do not inflate, fabricate, or selectively frame results, and we do not promise rankings, reach, or revenue that no platform can guarantee. We tell clients what is realistic before they sign, not after they ask.

3. Transparent Pricing and Scope

We quote pricing and scope clearly before work begins. We do not pad invoices, bill for work not performed, or expand cost without written agreement. When scope changes, we flag it and seek sign-off first.

4. Confidentiality and Data Security

We treat all client information as confidential and protect it for the life of the engagement and beyond. Client credentials, advertising accounts, analytics access, and platform permissions are held under our care, not our ownership. We protect every access we are granted as if a breach of it were a breach of our own systems. We apply least-privilege access, secure storage, prompt revocation when an engagement ends, and immediate disclosure of any incident affecting client data. We do not divulge or reuse client data without express consent.

5. Conflicts of Interest

We disclose any conflict that could affect a client. We do not take on directly competing mandates without informing the parties involved, and we do not accept vendor commissions, referral fees, or kickbacks that bias a recommendation without disclosing them. A client’s interest comes before our own convenience.

6. Platform Compliance in Paid Media

We run advertising in compliance with the policies of the platforms we operate on, including Meta and Google. We do not run deceptive creative, false claims, or prohibited content on a client’s behalf. When a request would violate platform policy, we say so and decline to execute it.

7. Search and Visibility Conduct

We conduct search visibility work to a professional standard. We do not misrepresent results, promise guaranteed positions, or report engineered metrics as organic outcomes. We explain the nature and risk profile of an approach to the client and we keep the client informed of what is being done in their name.

8. Intellectual Property and Attribution

We respect the intellectual property of others. We license what requires licensing, credit what requires crediting, and do not pass off third-party work as original. On completion and full payment, deliverables produced for a client belong to that client.

9. Responsible Use of AI

We use AI tools in production and keep human oversight on every AI-assisted output. We do not present unverified AI output as fact, and we disclose AI involvement where a client’s decision depends on knowing it. We do not feed confidential client data into tools that would expose it. We have AI Agents running for first point of contact via email correspondence and proposal generation with human oversight and approval.

10. People and Contractor Accountability

Our staff operate under our Internal Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. We bind every freelancer and partner to the same confidentiality, data-security, and honesty standards. We vet who we place inside a client’s accounts, and we give proper credit for the work people do.

11. Honest Competition and Industry Reputation

We compete on capability, not on fabrication. We do not disparage competitors with false claims, misrepresent their work, or win business through deception. We accept responsibility for the reputation of Sri Lanka’s digital marketing industry and contribute to its standards through honest practice and knowledge sharing.

We do not follow black hat, grey hat SEO strategies to artificially cheat rankings for SEO and we do not attack competitors that genuinely out rank us through Spam backlink attacks or similar malpractices.

12. Raising Concerns

Clients, partners, and members of the public may raise a suspected breach of this Code. We receive concerns at [email protected], investigate them in good faith, and correct what we find. We do not retaliate against anyone who raises a concern honestly.

Adopted by HypeX Digital (Pvt) Ltd. Effective Date: 1st June 2026 Reviewed annually alongside our Internal Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

A breach of this Code by anyone working under the HypeX name is a breach we own and correct.
